I agree. There are lot of steps that need to be taken in order to bring traffic up for a site as well as so many tools available that should be used well.

First off congrats on taking google for a keyword term. Now after you take it for one pick another then place them in the keywords linking back to your site. Example I was ranking well for make money free held the top spot for a while, but realised it was not where the traffic was so I decided to take on a much more search term make money online and now sit at the third spot which has brought much more traffic.
