Backlinks are updated more frequently than PR. PR is updated on a quarterly basis.

It seems kinda weird that Google updates like this... Kinda hard for us working with our clients because they'll be demanding a mush higher PR and IBLs every month now -- they'll soon forget that SEO is a slow process.

Smile PR update might have taken place.
I think, recently PR update has taken place. My Home Page PR has decreased from PR2 to PR 1.

I do not know about back link update

I don't know about this d, the last couple months Google has been doing major PR updates monthly perhaps we are in for a change. You are right as a rule of thumb Google has updated PR every three months.

Why my ranking is so big different in btw google and yahoo?
Hi there,

After 2 years hard work a number of my keywords are ranked high with google, but unfortunately they are not at all the case with yahoo and the ranking gap is so big that you could hardly imagine. Is there anyone could give me some idea and especially tell me how to do with yahoo so that I can improve my rankings there? Many thanks!

hey it's quite common that u've got different ranking in yahoo and google
they have different algorithms
