Is Google's algo very different from Yahoo?

Hi,

Is Google's algo very different from Yahoo's?

I have a site,
http://www.broadband-providers-uk.co.uk/

which was hovering around the No. 2 position for the search term
broadband providers uk
at both G and Yahoo! at the beginning of the year ... but disappeared from G's top spot about 6 months ago!

It is still No. 2 at Yahoo.

Anyone knows what needs to be done with G?

Thanks.
.

Google is more dependant upon keyword rich links from a variety of sites whereas yahoo is more dependant upon page copy.

also Google seems to scrub their links a bit better than Yahoo! does. Yahoo! does a bit of the "scrubbing" function by having editors clean out bad search results.

OK - but using
allinanchor:broadband providers uk
Google is returning the site at No. 1.

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...e+Search&meta=

Does allinanchor not indicate "keyword rich links"?

And it is also No 1 for
allinanchor:broadband providers
