Even a same English word it may have different meaning in different countries or cultures.
Example "handicap" may have different meanings in Canada, US, France and España

Thanks LivePR.ezer but this reply does not give me any clarification about my question porn/porno has the same meaning in spanish and in english.
Again my question is WHY google.es (Spain) ranks me #7 and WHY
google.com (english) ranks me #199

The keyword you used is less competitive for google.es DC to compare with google.com DC.
IMO language may affect the SERPs.

Thanks Searchbliss, certainly the servers are at Rioja (Spain).
Do you think that if my target is (Google.com) in english, I should move from
my actual spanish ISP to a USA ISP provider?
Anybody is really sure about that question?

David

Its simple!
Search engines track IP addresses to rank websites for different regions. So for example, if your web server is in Spain it assumes it to be a Spanish serving site. A clear example is, go to google.fr or .de and type "microsoft". What do you get? a country language specific microsoft site. Thats the game of IPs.
And since your website is by all means Spanish or for Spanish audience, you have absolutely excellent chances of ranking better in Spanish results than the global ones.
makes sense?

Jonathan is right...so If you really want to target US users, get a US IP...or move the U.S. and do it, but the food won't be the same...or as tasty...althouth I prefer Indian food the most...just don't drink the water.
Sorry for the rant, but I hope you get my point.

i think google has done a search on the website and seen that the word "spain" has been used several times...and not the language...
or it can be your domain name ends in .es

Google uses your server's ip to determine the region. Also the geographic origins of your backlinks will have some effects too.

I think it depends on the regional location,...And if you want rank on Google.com promote your site globally.

Just before move form a Spanish ISP provider to a USA IsP provider I want to make other question, is clear that I am ranked #7 in google.es because I have an spanish IP.
But, is also clear that I am not so well ranked in google.com because my IP is not a USA IP?
In other words, Google.com = Google USA or Google.com = Google World.
Somebody knows?
Best

I think you should use Google Webamster geographical targeting option to set the area that you want to target.

Very good point but we already set Geographic target = United States
The question now is that according with my last post we get now:
best results for "porn iPhone" in Google.com
best results for "iPhone porn" in Google.es
That is something I really do not understand.

Maybe this can help to finally stay in Spain?
