Talking Getting Google to index all my pages

Google visits my site almost daily. i have approx 3000 pages on my site.

before i put a site map on google had around 370 pgs indexed.

afterwards it went straight up th 580.

but i cant get it to go any further.

does anybody think it might have something to do with my site map?

is it to much for one page and shall i split it?
it is very big!

Yes, don't put 3000 links on one page. If you have a large site I would get lots of links coming in, and then link to the site map from every page, then make the site map like a table of contents with headings and categories and nice anchor text...and finally you need more than a one page sitemap for 3k pages

Agree with shown. You need to break up your links in no. of sitemaps and cross link them nicely with others.

When I Google your site for indexed pages.... some of the results come up as just URIs without summaries or descriptioins....

Also, many of your pages have the same titles, e.g. "Gold Rings and Things - Full Image"... Bracelets... Rings... etc...

Unique page titles and content will increase page count...

i have just put a new site map(middle of page next to search option) on my site www.goldringsandthings.co.uk

it is run by a company called free find,

if you goto the bottom of my homepage at the moment you will see a link for my old massive site map.

the new one is tonnes easier to read but i am worried that
the new one gets directed to a free find site,i am going to benefit from this in google or would it be better to create my own site map??

my main purpose really is for googles benifit rather than my customers

Site map maybe one solution but its not the solution I look for. What makes you lot think a site map would help get more pages spidered when I bet you haven’t even looked at his site? Surely if it’s the navigation that is the problem being too deep then a better solution is to change the navigation or include a breadcrumbs tray.

BUT let actually have a look at his site....

The pages are all linked using shallow structure so a site map would do nothing for the site :/

I am not sure about this but is it fair to say the more inbound links you get the higher the PR and the higher the PR the more WebPages are spidered? No one can see there PR at the moment but you have over 10 inbound links and your PR is higher than indicated on the tool bar because Google has not updated the toolbar in ages. I would have a wild guess your PR is 5 and to get that many pages indexes you need to be in the magic 6 zone.

Your solutions: your sbd.bcentral.com is a good listing and should help! Forum links like this don’t do much as I have experimented with them but just keep those links coming. If you actually sell a product then its best to look at other forms of revenue like pay per click and offline ads.
