Hi Guys! Just got on here, what I'm wondering is how do I get my site high up the rankings for free? After google trawls the site it goes up to number one for 'financial advice leicester' but then goes back to about 20 a couple of days later.
But altavista, msn etc its never anywhere.

The site is www.mjrfm.co.uk

Any tips anyone?

Hi,
I think that one of the things you should do is to read the articles posted at this website here. They are very good resources, and should explain how to get high google rankings fairly well. THen, if you have additional questions, or need explanations, or clarifications, come back here again.
But, basically, what you need to do is to get links pointing to your site, with the anchor text being your targetted keywords (anchor text is the text that is used when linking to you. For example, if your keyword is marketing, have the word marketing linked to your site, or include that word in your link)
Then, you should also try to have your targetted keyword in the text of your site, as well as the H1 tag, whereas this is not that important, it does help. But, the easiest way is getting good links pointing to your site.
