Tough Bing promotion

HI guys..

I feel that it is difficult to promote a page on BING than Google on my research. how do you feel?

Well it's also important to have good rankings on Bing, but I always work hard for good rankings on Google

-- since majority of internet users (still) uses Google.

All of your remarks above are right. Since bing is not popular like GG, so many users are still like to use GG. I mainly promote my website in GG,too.My site is: selling wow accounts,hehe

If you are ranking well in Google, Bing will do the same. As far as Yahoo, I don't know but it is not working well with my site.

Bing bring me much more customers than live or MSN, I guess they are working hard to improve their search engine.

So far Google is the best ;-)

Bottom line, focus on Google, but do not ignore other SE's. I find that when I rank well in Google, I do as well on Bing and Yahoo.

I totally agree with you! Have no clue what their criteria is. For my most popular keyword phrase "mineral makeup", I'm on page 1 in yahoo, 2 for Google, and 5 for Bing!

So..they are definitely doing things different from yahoo and google. Maybe you have to buy rank?

It takes me longer to get a new site indexed in bing than in google. Not sure if it is that it is so new and everybody is trying to submit sites, but it takes way longer. As far as getting pages ranked well in the serps, I find that for bing having keywords in your url works wonders.

Some of my sites are ranking great in Bing but nowhere in Google. Bing's ranking algo doesn't make much sense to me.

More than 80% of the users use Google for searching. So Google is more important then other search engines. However, you have to concentrate the same in other search engines. Bing is also gaining market day to day.

bing has just take off and as u know they are different search engines and use different algo so it is common to have different rankings
that' not the point
what matters is ur site and how u promote it

Even after reaching the top spots on Bing, you might not see some huge traffic loads as the basics are still the same and Bing is the MSN and Live, no difference in structure.

Exactly, concentrating on bing wont effect a lot. So go for google as it will give every one much much traffic and advantage!!

I have the same feeling. But right now I just focus on google first and wait a couple more months to see how I will be doing with Bing.

bing is popular now. so we should pay more attention for it. but the key is really similar amont those search engineer such as google, yahoo and bing. backlinks is the key.

What I notice is that Bing will place importance towards url that has the keyword (the user is looking for) in the domain. Just type "webmasters forum" in bing and see what appears.
