Google to Challenge Microsoft With Operating System

Just read somewhere that Google is to challenge Microsoft with Operation System.
Is that true?

It is true, the thing is that Google is planning on making a free OS, however, Microsoft owns about every platform. I just wonder how the project goes with Google.

The Google operating software will never be considered as a threat to the Windows systems. Just remember the case about Google Checkout and then take a look at the number of people using PayPal.

A lot of projects Google is starting will never get so important or huge.

How about google the search engine? That one was definitely an overwhelming success.

Also, look at google apps - these have a share among cloud-based services of the kind. BTW, Microsoft will be offering free lightweight office apps in the cloud soon.

It's a great idea to have a web-based OS but Google will be on a tough road to beat MS - that is their control zone the same way Google controls search

When you think of the enhancements of the Windows versions in the course of time, the thousands of PC hot selling games that are only compatible with Windows operating systems as well as tens of thousands of softwares online, you will notice that Google is some light years far behind Microsoft in catching it.

Both of them (Google & MSN) has different stuff in different field. if it comes to competition, they need to prove their quality and reliability to their end user.

If there is a competition, i believe we as the end user will be the benefit part as well.
Competition create advantage.
