Google not crawling inner pages

Hi all,

Google is crawling my index page after every two days, but as far as inner pages are concern it is been more than 2 months, google hasn't crawled it yet.

Why is it so?? is google have any special criteria for crawling inner pages?

And what should i do to make google crawl my inner pages???

how much link popularity do you have pointing into your site?

you can see that google has retrived this page on 12th July

"This is G o o g l e's cache of http://www.ajaybook.com/printing-job-work-india.htm as retrieved on 12 Jul 2004 06:15:00 GMT."

it's been more than two months since the google crawled this page.

As far as index page is concerend it's been crawled by google after every 2-3 days but it is not crawling inner pages regularly??

why it is so???

the only purpose of crawling pages is if there is something new to update. it does not help your rankings, it does not help Google, and it does not help your site out for it to crawl pages that have not changed

awall19, you are right that if you don’t update the page and though google is crawling that page is not going to help anyone.

but I m talking about the page I have updated almost a month ago.

I have made some seo related changes in some pages of this site, and I think that changes can help me in higher ranking.

I am not talking about non updated pages not crawled by google I am concern about the pages I have changed and not crawled by google. It’s almost a month since I have updated those pages.

The reason for me to concern about this is that google comes to index pages after every 2-3 days, but it is not going further in inner pages which I have updated.

So, does google have any criteria to visit index page frequently and inner pages after some period.

Same deal for me. I redesigned a static, one-page site into a 15-page site (the one in my sig) and launched on July 2. Started generating backlinks immediately afterwards. As of today, only the index page has been indexed by Google. Most of the new pages showed up in Yahoo after about a month. Google's cache is from Sep 12. I didn't think it would take 3 months, but I guess it helps to know that others are experiencing the same...

Do you have any special scripting on your links ie flash content?
GoogleBot may not be able to index these pages

Try pointing some IBL's to your interior pages. This may help.

Tip: If you update a page, or add a new page to your site - then put a direct link to it from your frontpage for a month. Google will see that the frontpage has changed a bit, find the url, and update accordingly. A "News" section with static links is ... nice - both for your users, and for the search-engines. Could also be an idea with an rss-feed.

Note: Google deepcrawls sites about 1 x month if they think there's new contents somewhere
