You have a very broad question my friend. I suggest that you should narrow it down for us to give you more specific/accurate answer(s).

But if I'm going to guess, you're asking on how to rank numero uno (number one) on Google's(SERP) first page. Am I right? Well, my answer would be, it depends. It depends on how well you optimize your website.

And btw, you should use descriptive subject title. (Kindly pay attention at the rule letter G.) If you will follow it, it will help you to get the answer(s) that you're looking for in the most easiest way.

Buy Google AdWords Space for the keyword you want and bid high! It might get you on top for some time.

Ranking high in search engine results for certain keywords is sometimes really difficult but if you work hard and choose the right less competitively but search able keywords you should be able to get on Google’s first page. It will take some time before the search engines trust a new site with no backlink, so, you may just to have to wait!

To get on firts page of Google you must have

1. Quality and quantity of contents in your websites.
2.More Backlinks
3.Unique and original content
4.proper content and web optimisation

There are a lot of factors apart from these all.

I was looking for feedback on getting myself on the front page for the following searches:

Miller Sports, Miller Cards, Card Shop Finder, Sports Cards Shop Finder, Sports Card Release Calendar.

Those are the ones I know of, is this a really huge deal? My website is 1 week old today.

So here's how I did it for the reply:

1) Lots of relevelant content
2) Keywords used in important places - file names also seemed to help a bit

Probably not so helpful, but those are the reasons why I believe I made it.

What do you guys think?

I suggest to read and be active on webmaster forums. Participate on Search Engines or SEO discussions. Forums do have lots of knowledgeable members that gives more information on the latest trends. Forums also give good backlinks. Use your signature to build links.

You've got search engines buying adwords - the ads won't be cheap

The SEO on this one will be a full time job.

So just for giggles I wanted to see what one company was paying for and what kind of traffic they were getting for "baseball" related cards - not bad prices - break um down (separate your categories - keywords) and you can afford it until you get some placement:

Anyway, I suggest you first target long-tailed keywords. It is much easier to rank on search engines, less competitive but have a good amount of traffic.
