Do you think there has been a backlinks update? PR update?

I think back link update may take place since I have seen fluctuations in my site back links.

Can't remember when this month, but a few days ago my backlinks dropped 500 in webmaster tools perhaps this is an indication Google is planning to update PR.

You can not predict the exact month and the date when Google update the PR but normally they update it on every 3 months.

I think updating must have started last week.

Had a few keywords change significantly - alot of instability. My most desired keyword is up 30 one day ... down the next. Fortunately, long tail results still holding.

^Few changes in SERP (it keeps on updating), PR is still the same. We don't know the exact date. Google loves to surprise everyone.

Google always keep on updating us. Every month or every two to three months.

some areas appeared to have reduced value in regards to affecting PageRank. These areas include the following aspects:
1. Multiple links from the same site or run-of-site links.
2. Links with text around them that indicate they are purchased such as “Partners”, “Advertising”, etc.
3. Links from sites that hold little relevancy.

Besides, Google Webmaster Tools also underwent several changes:
1. Reduced Link Count
2. 301 redirected URLs do not appear in the link list

I followed this link but get nothing useful for your predicting PR update. So could anybody share the exact authentic source for the coming PR update?

I don't really follow page rank anymore, I just check the guest and bounce rate and work increasing both those and my SERP's
