Do Search engines look at pages or website for serps?
I have been reading and the opinions change. I hear on one side that you may want to optimize your whole site to one keyword. Which would mean that the search engines rank your website as a whole for each keyword and others have said to optimize individual keywords keeping in mind 2-3 keywords which would mean that search engines look at individual pages. People have also told me that they look at individual pages while other have said to keep adding new content to the website such as a blog which would help if the search engines are looking at the website as a whole.
Could someone bring some clarity to this?
