Adwords are ads that you pay for. When someone clicks on one of the ads they go to your site and you pay for that click. They can be displayed on Google's search engine result pages and also on the content network (more about this below).

Adsense ads are a way of making money. You put these ads on your site and when someone clicks on one they leave your site and you get paid a small amount.

So... adwords ads are advertising to try and bring people to your site.
...adsense is ads that you put on your site to try and make money.

Back to the content network... if you pay for adwords ads and choose to have them on the content network, then these ads can appear as someone elses adsense ads on their site. So if someone clicks on one of these adsense ads the site owner makes a small amount of money and if it is your adwords ad then you will be charged a small amount.

In simple words,

adwords is for advertisers. It's the fast way option to getting instant traffic but has an equivalent expensive, if not cheap, cost.

adsense is for publishers. It's a good program to join if you aim to monetize your site.

Difference? With adwords you give money, with adsense you take money.. Both are taken advantage in what we called "Adsense Arbitrage" where you buy low and earn high.

Sample? This forum has adsense ad units displayed all over. (See above this thread boxes with footer at the bottom-right position "ads by google") When someone click on the ads, this forum earns and the owner of the ad clicked will pay for the click through (lead or referral).

Advertisers pay to create their ads with AdWords, and publishers get paid to display those ads on our web sites with AdSense.

You may find a lot of examples of sites that buy adwords at such services as semrush, spufy and keywordspy. semrush also shows you the ads texts so that you could learn to write your own ads if you decide to advertise in Google. it may also show you all sites with adsense.

Hi,

Adwords will take and adsense will pay money

Adwords is program by google for target traffics and you have to pay for each click according to your keywords competition and market rates.

And with adsense you can earn some money. If you are owner of website then you can place adsense code there and you get paid for each click by your site visitors.

Thanks

Adwords - you need to pay Google to display your ads in search and content network.
Adsense - you need to place Google adsense ads same here and Google will pay for you with respect to no.of clicks and click through rate.

robertgallagher is on the right pathrobertgallagher is on the right pathrobertgallagher is on the right path
Adwords : Google's CPC (Cost Per Click) based text advertising Campinas in which you should pay to Google.
Adsense : Google's contextual advertising network. Publishers large and small may automatically publish relevant advertisements near their content and share the profits from those ad clicks with Google.

Adwords - advertising program for the advertiser
Adsense - Advertising program for the publisher
Advertiser (adwords user) give money to google to advertise their website, then google allocate the advertisement to the publisher (adsense user) website and display it.
Make it simple, adword is paying money, adsense is gaining money
