Google Indexed Pages Drop

I submit a sitemap to our site(tonerworld.com) about 6 month ago and after about two weeks 14,000 pages indexed. Slowly over time we are down to 2,000 indexed pages.

I have heard that you shouldn't need a sitemap if you have a good link structure. All of our pages are link in some way to our homepage.

Can you guys take a look and give some suggestions. What I am doing right and what I am doing wrong. tonerworld.com

Some time it may cause duplicate content issue due to URL mismatch, check your sitemap has correct link structure.

Google has totally wet the bed with a couple of my sitemaps. Saying I have bad links and unreachable pages and they are 100% clean. I ended up just deleting them despite the fact that they were fine so that I can avoid any type of issue caused by their perception that they were bad urls.

I still use sitemaps, yes both of them, even if my sites has good link structure. And by using the Google webmaster tools, I can easily check which of my pages has a broken link.

Mostly, the reason why pages aren't indexed is because of bad link structure. Check again your inner pages, see if each categories link to one other.

Duplicate meta tag? Are you kidding me? I have handled several websites with thousands of inner pages having the same meta tags, yet SEs index them (not all, but most of them). It's all about the link structure and some link building techniques, like social bookmarking that helped.
