Website Inception Date?

Is it easier to get listed into Google if your website or blog has been registered for a couple years versus 2 months?

No, get a few links back to your site and you'll get listed. With that said, you will get a very small boost in the SERPs as your site ages...but it's pretty insignificant against what links back to your site will do for you.

If your site has good content & quality backlinks then there is no time bared hinderence. You can very compete with 2 years listed site even though your site is only 2 months old.

I believe domain age does have an effect on where your site is ranked but I don't think it is as straightforward as many would like to believe.

You see if Google does use domain age it can be for 1 simple reason, it is because an older domain is better established and reliable, therefore less likely to be spam.

If u want to get indexed quick, then u could like to try as soon as new content is added to the website, webmasters should try to use social bookmarking site like Digg, Stumbleupon to bookmark. I have noticed Google indexes Digg pages in less than 2 hours!

Longer Domain Registration Does Not Increase Google Search Engine Rankings

Quote:
It seems that Google has finally gone on the record that longer domain name registration has no impact on your search engine rankings, at least not at Google. A Google Webmaster Help thread has a post from Googler, JohnMu, who said outright that it doesn't make sense for Google to use this as a ranking metric...
Source: Longer Domain Registration Does Not Increase Google Search Engine Rankings

But...of course the longer your domain has been around, the more incoming links you probably have so from that point of view, domain name age would help you if the incoming links are quality and related links.

There's another article at Google Says Domain Registrations Don’t Affect SEO, Or Do They? about this same topic.
