Sandbox?

I'm putting together a real estate directory... it will have all of the states, counties, and cities.... total of approx 15,000- 20,000 pages or so. How long to you think it will take for google to index it (It already indexed my homepage and that was after only being up one day)? Is it guaranteed to be sandboxed even if it has lots of IBL's?

The extra pages will be indexed in no time if they are linked from reputable sources (your homepage). However, any inbound and outbound links will have no effect for ~3 months (or so) hense no [real (not toolbar)] PR for a similar amount of time.

the sandbox thingie and the random toolbar updates do not necissarily corrilate to one another. earlier this year the toolbar was still updating monthly but the sandbox thingie still took most webmasters like 3 months to bypass

the full value of inbound links...as in their ability to influence search results does not usually occur until after a few months.

indexing is not the issue here. you can get your whole site indexed within a couple of days... getting out of the sandbox can take anywhere from 1 day to 6 months. From my experience it is WAY easier to get out of the box if you start with a small amount of pages on your domain and a small amount of backlinks and increase both weekly. I don't know why, I can't explain it but that's what I experienced.

I wrote as much as I could about the sandbox here - http://www.socengine.com/seo/guide/s...ch-filter.html

The site isn't complete, but the article should provide you with all the information you could want on sandboxing...

Nice article. The most comprehensive one I've found so far on the subject. I have 3 different sites all ranking #1 for allinanchor: phrases that don't show up in the regular G serps for that phrase. The sites are between 3 and 5 months old. My main site was started Feb 15th, it ranks well for several keyword phrases and I can get new pages on it to show up in the serps within a couple of weeks. Your article is dead on with what I have experienced. Now please figure a way to get me out of the "March Filter"

P.S. - You might also get a laugh from my Google Sandbox Song
