So this program will basically tell me to increase my daily budgets for more clicks? Great!

The AdGooroo software analyses top competitors and uses a proprietary intelligence gathering system to try and discover other keywords they may be using that you aren't aware of. If it discovers new ones, they will be shown in red on the advertiser detail report. You will need to add them to your keyword list to begin monitoring them.

Sounds like they're using the Overture or Google Keyword tool! - ha ha ha!

the program is money. think he could have offered certain people more than a one month review period if he wanted them to do a serious review of it, but the tool looks interesting and highly useful. I have spoke w him a bunch about it.

Yes, i talked to him quite a bit too. He needs to work on his trial offerings for sure.
To dismiss it without knowledge of it is to potentially miss out on a valuable tool TGR

It sounds pretty pricey for what you get. The bottom line is that you are getting what you are already paying for by using googleadwords. The only difference is that you get a very nice visual of the same data you can obtain using the google tools. I'd rather spend the $399/monthly fee on a subscription to wordtracker ($399/year) or just throw the additional $399/month to my adwords budget.

I'd be curious on how they get their data. If they truly are crawling the web via screen scraping all this is going to do is bring up your # of impressions and start making your ads under-deliver.
At first this sounded like a great tool but after reading their FAQ's and what you actually get I think it's too pricey because it does not provide bid management or is it a conversion tracking tool and only captures two primary statistics: coverage and relative rank. Which I can obtain for FREE from within google just not the pretty graphs.

1.) google does not issue coverage as a free stat.
2.) google does not issue the relative ranks of your competitors and their coverage over time either.

Your right awall. I just logged on to my other non-customized adsense account and could not find these type of tools. I still think it's too expensive for what you get.

I think it would have been better to offer it a bit cheaper off the start and build up a buzz and then price it up.

Well said awall. I am still curious on how they obtain their data. How can one tell that it's accurate? Anyone using the tool to support this product?
I guess they didn't watch "the apprentice" episode on pricing and how too high or too low can make or break a product regardless of how good the product may be. LOL

I have emailed back and forth with him many times and helped him collect some of his market research. it would have been cool if he asked my opinion about pricing and the like though.

well they stated the the product was designed for ad agencies and the like. the problem is of course that many of the larger companies are not willing to take risks with stuff until smaller guys try it out and say they like it. a free 5 day trial (or 30 if you provide feedback) is not enough to get people to really talk about it. why not give free one year trials to a dozen people you think will like it? how cheap of marketing is it to give your product to a dozen influential people who may or may not have tried it out who have the reach of thousands of people?
in that respect I think the pricing and launch was flawed IMHO.
it looks as though it is really cool stuff, but I think it could have got off the ground much better if a few other people were doing the marketing for him.

Hi everyone,
First of all, thank you for the feedback. Positive or negative, it is appreciated.
As Aaron stated, the tool was originally designed for agencies and is priced accordingly. To give you some insight into that decision , we have conducted a research to determine the optimal pricing for each segment and chose our current structure based on the results. I understand that premium pricing is never going to be a popular position among possible customers, but given the fact that we would never succeed by offering the full service to every agency in the U.S., it made the most sense to do what we did.
There was a lot of (heated) debate that went into this decision. My original position was to price it considerably lower, but I lost that battle based on a number of factors (most notably, we'd go out of business if we priced it at $99 like I wanted to).
HOWEVER ... there is good news.
First of all, if you haven't registered for a free trial yet, please do so. We will be implementing a follow up program within the next week in which we will offer the service for substantially less as an incentive to smaller advertisers. This will be only be offered until we release the ...
One time reports: AdGooroo will be offering a subset of all the functionality on the site in the form of a PDF report of your industry. This report will be emailed to you about 3 days after you place your order. The price will be well within the range of the smaller advertiser's budget. We expect this product to be available sometime in mid to late November, at which time we'll discontinue the temporary price reduction program.
Thanks for your feedback, and if you have any questions that you would like me to answer, I'll do my best!
P.S. Aaron - we offered you a one-month period to use the trial for free but you never responded! The offer still stands.

one comment I would have about the 3 day time period is that it could not take into account for shifts over the weekend and also collect good data for the week...I would recommend collecting the data durring the week and then if they order on a friday night it might take until wednesday to get the report.
I have not tracked the data you do though so I am somewhat uncertain as to how wide the weekday to weekend variences are.
also I think there are some variences where the prices are lower near the end of the month when many people have already blown their ad budgets...just a thing to consider mention in the report
