It depends if this is a SEO friendly redirection or not. You may check this with Free Redirection Checker

You need to do a 301 permanent redirect from the old location to the new location if the url is different.

If you just changed hosts and used the same url, then no you won't loose your ranking.

When you moved your blog, did you keep the same url structure?

Use the 301 redirect and you will keep a lot of your rankings. But, it might take google 4+ weeks for all of the changes to show up.

Back in May, 2009 I moved a site from one domain name to another and setup a 301 redirect. All of the post stayed the same, just the domain name changed. The new domain name started showing up right away. But it was 4+ weeks before most of the old sites pages were removed from googles index.

You should keep most of your rankings, but expect to lose some for a little while.

Right, using a 301 redirection, you would not lose your PR. But SERP might be affected temporarily.

Once the URL is rewritten, you want to make sure that the old URL 301 redirects to the new. This tells the search engines that any link juice the old URL had should now be given to the new URL. It also makes for a good user experience, rather than showing a 404 error page. The server is told URL A should now be URL B.

So you would not lose your PR, don't worry!

As others have said, if you use a 301 correctly, you should be ok. (I personally like to go in and manually 301 redirect every single page of the old site, to its proper location within the new site.)

You may see some slight shifting around a bit for up to a month - but nothing overly noticeable should happen.
