I usually check for high Adsense paying keywords on rumbler.com.
They have a huge list (2,600 keywords), listed in alphabetical order.

You can use adwords keyword tools to find them out. However, not suggest to go to the high pay niche, better go for the niche you are knowledgeable

You can find a lot of top paying words by using Google but just knowing of them might not work. You know, having a site which is receiving a lot of daily traffic and then working on the terms could be better.

I think Keyword suggestion tool is very good just because is provided by google. You can see and find easily a lot of keywords very well paid. More difficult is to rank well for all these keywords...

make money online is no longer a high paying keyword, i think high paying keywords nowadays are those ralated to electronics such as cameras, Tv, refrigerators and other home appliances.

So the basic outcome is that people are searching high paying keyword to get high revenue rather to make own site of their interest. Thats really interesting and somewhat good in my view.
