Question How many links will Google follow?

Hello,

Google's website states that you should not exceed 100 links or so per page. What happens if you do? Will Google still follow links after the 100th link? Will the subsequent pages be indexed?

Thanks,

last time I checked, and I actually tried this myself, google followed as many links as possible. I had over 300 links on one page and all were indexed. It looked like the limit was the cache limit (100kb file size?), but I didn't want to go that far

Can you provide the link where google place the statement? Most of the popular directories have more than 100 links on each page.

Yes, there is a such a statement.

But thnk about it a little bit: i know lots of high PRed sites consisting of only 300+ links on page. Because that is the way www evolved. Someone finds useful link and place them on his web page so that people/friends can find them easily.

I think if the links are high quality and related then there is no problem with the number of links.

Sky is the limit... You can place so many links in a page, all will get indexed. But you won't get good PR...

okay honestly man you will be fine, there sites with 1,000 of links on a page no need to worry about that one, if that was the case every one would be having problems like bigger websites.
