Google's repeat visiting

Hi,

Google started visiting my site on a daily basis but only going to the index page, then Google started coming back daily (at the same time every day) and spidering 2 levels deep, then Google continued his daily visits (same time) and started spidering the whole (indexable) part of the site (100+ pages, not big). This continued (google spidering the complete site daily) for a month or so, now Google seems to be spidering the complete (indexable part of the) site 3+ times a day.

Currently my site has a PR0 - it is only a couple of months old. I have been busy getting links from reputable sources, including but by no means limited to :
SevenSeek
BlueFind
UncoverTheNet
Yahoo
... the list goes on.
DMOZ (is yet to come to the party - typical)

However I don't have hundreds of links.

I am not upset that google is re-visiting obviously, more so I am wondering if this is a good sign for next PR update or whatever? Seeing my sites content is rather stable and probably as such doesn't warrant multiple daily visits (again I'm not complaing Google Gods).

Anyone have an opinion?

well,

I don't know if the continuously spidering of Google has anything to do with PageRank but I did notice that when my site got an extra PR point a few months ago google spidering increased.

In any way, the more pages you get indexed the better, so it is certainly not a bad thing

I had the same issue once.
Google spidered my site several times a day after a few months from the opening of the site.
However this only began after i had aquired links to the site. And from what i know from this forum, is that google will only spider your site if it has links to it and it will go deeper the higher the pr is.

I then asked the question on this forum "do i have an unoficial pr when google spiders the site deep?" and the answer was yes.

My guess is, that if you have aquired links to the site, you do have a pr from googles point of view. The pr is not showing yet, but google has it's own private pr which is not shown on the toolbar, atleast not yet.

I'm not a SEO expert but i'd say say that google has indexed the links to your site, and has given you credit for it. It's just not shown on the toolbar yet.

After i had gooten links to my site, including a pr 7 link, google started digging 12 levels deep, and now when it has the pagerank of 6, it's still the same as it was when i had the links and a pr of 0.

Like i said. i'm not a seo expert, but my answer, or if you will, guess, is that google has already updated your pr... it's just not showing it on the toolbar

Check to see that the pages are indexed and then you can check the ranking in the serps to see the effect of the spidering. GG is slow on the pr posting these days.

Thanks all for your feedback so far. Much appreciated.

All the pages are indexed and show when you do a search "site:**.com" in google. Is that what you mean? How can I tell the effect of the spidering?

I realise my site no doubt has some pagerank now and it isn't showing. I also realise that PR isn't erverything.

Another related question. Does this constand spidering mean my site is out of the so called "sandbox" or would I still be playing in the sandbox? Is there anyway of telling if you are out of the sandbox?
