Do folow links question ?

I see that do follow and do not follow links are mentioned here alot and since am new in this whole webmaster area i have no idea what is what and i want to provide do follow links on my site,maybe am already provideing them without even knowing it

can anyone check on my site if those are are do follow links and if not explain me how to make them and what is the difference

Its a Flash site right? I tried to view the code but there was not much code there.

A nofollow link will have a nofollow tag in the link code. You can find more info about it here:

its joomla site with flash intro
i dont know how to move that joomla back to public_html without messing up the db since its instaled in one of the directories and if i remove that flash intro it will just leave the blank "index" of with list of my folders on it pretty pretty attractive for hackers or other ppl that might want to harm the site

the links in a site are do follow default, some blog systems, like wordpress, have the comments link no follow.

for me it doesn't matter cause other SE allow both.

Removed flash intro and setup 301 redirect hope now google will crawl it faster lol

"sorryle" u said that in most sites do follow links are default so am guesing in joomla which am using there are also since there is no "nofollow" tag on any of them

I use noDoFollow extension for firefox. It is very useful for finding do follow or no follow links for every website

I think you might use backlinkwatch to check your sites. It would fetch all data you need.

First of all there is no such thing as dofollow since spider bots naturally crawls on links whether branded dofollow or not, its just a term use to state its not a nofollow. Therefore on nofollow, spider bots simply don't crawl on links. It's like a dead end for bots which is useless when you're trying to create backlinks. That's why many don't like posting on nofollow blogs for that very reason.. But, posting on nofollow in my opinion is still not that useless, since you still can promote your site through that, right. =)

the difference of dofollow and nofollow is only applicable for google. yahoo and the other search engines ignore this bot command. for google, if a link has a nofollow attribute, it doesn't give weight or count as inbound link. actually nofollow has its positive side and that is it helps to avoid spam.
