Question about PR?
With regards to PR is there such a thing as a bad incoming link assuming that the link is not coming from a bad neighborhood?
Example: Let's say I have a PR6. Will an incoming PR2 help or hurt my PR? I would think it has to hurt at least a little, especially if I have many low PR links coming in.
What would be better, a hundred incoming PR2 and 3 links or a handful of incoming PR5 and 6 links?
Thanks for your advice!

All those links from PR2 sites all add up, they do not hurt a bit and what's more, a page that is PR2 today, can be PR5 a few months later, just keep building.

An incoming link of lower pr will not hurt you. If I had a choice between 100 different pr 2 websites linking to me or five pr 6 websites and all things equal, I'd choose the 100 pr 2's any day of the week

Ferre, you said that all links of P2 and up adds up. Does that mean that links from P0 and P1 are non factors?

All links count, even PR1 and PR0 pages, unless a site is penalized of course. As I mentioned before, in time many of those low PR pages will end up with a PR4 - PR5. Keep building links, that's all that matters and don't bother about their PR too much, think big, it's the numbers that count.

All incomming links are ok and normally will help. They do all add up.

IMHO, 100 PR2/PR3 links may or may not not be any better than the handful of PR6. Until recently, I would agree that the 100 is the better choice. But, there's lots of speculation around today that says 'relevant' links are about all Google is really counting.
If that is true, then 6 links (little or nothing to do with PR value) from related sites would be more valuable than 100 links from unrelated (irrelevant) sites. That then begs the question, "what is relevant?"
I don't know that anyone but Google can answer that. So, I usually ask Google. I do a @www.mydomain.com search. Google provides results, but notes that it is displaying the most relevant sites. I use that number as my true Google backlink count (after I subtract pages that I know are not real links like PPC generated virtual links).
For example, doing a literal search on my URL, Google reports over 4000 pages. (Most are PPC virtual links.) When I page through my results though, only 115 are displayed as being relevant. Many of those are also virtual links. But the point is, many people are beginning to believe that relevancy has become king (quality versus quantity).
