I use it. Mostly to get an idea of the general price range for a product.

Fantastic! I think it's great. Mind you, it probably won't stop me buying everything from Amzaon...

I buy everything from Amazon as well.
But Froogle is awesome for finding odd things that can't be found easily. I needed a battery for an older cell phone. I typed the part number in Froogle and it returned about 12 results for it. None of the stores in the results were places I would have looked otherwise.
Also, Froogle is slowly becoming one of my top overall referrers. The conversion rate is excellent too.

Agreed, gorillaboy. When I'm looking for something obscure, Froogle has never let me down. Always check a merchant's reputation before buying, tho.

Is that because you have an affiliation with them or you just like Amazon? I use them too, but only because of our affiliation.

No, I buy everything there because they are reasonably priced, reliable and easy to use. Oh, and Free Super Saver Shipping of course!
I've placed over 200 orders and have had just one problem. And it was one of there crappy affiliate's fault.

I find them more expensive after shipping cost are added in many cases (the affiliate fee sort of offsets that though). The affiliate program is not that good and you have to, at times, put up with stupid customer questions.

Froogle doesn't set the pricing.

Froogle has a great feature on the left hand side, it lets you sort by price. So it will tell you the lowest price

I use Amazon for a number of reasons:
- Price is always good (if not the cheapest)
- Range of delivery options which always perform as advertised
- Good information about the status of your order
- Goods arrive packaged well
- I have never experienced errors with the delivery
Probably the clincher for Amazon is that their reputation is beyond reproach, how they have maintained the same exceptional level of service throughout the years I'll never know. For the time being I'm a big fan, and the chances are that if I want it and Amazon sell it I'll be buying it from them.
Has anyone got any bad/ horror stories about Amazon?

jg_v7n, do you find the shipping costs (to London?) often make the item more expensive that buying locally? It happens often here after adding shipping cost, mainly for books, DVD's and CD's.

Occasionally, but then again for me the convienience makes the small difference well worth it. It would be a lot cheaper to wrap the stuff myself at xmas, but I even pay for that sometimes. At xmas it's a case of: "You can have anything you like as long as I can buy it from Amazon" I buy the whole lot in one go, get it wrapped and sent to my folks house. Then when I turm up to see them on xmas day the whole lot is there - I simply write on the labels. I'm pretty sure that it's no more expensive this way than if I did it the traditional way, trawling around endless shopping Malls for days on end. Best of all Christmas shopping is no longer a chore for me!

I bought all my christmas presents off Amazon this year too They only charge about £2 delivery to Ireland, and they can wrap them up for you!
