Stupid Google Ads Question?
I've never used google ads on a page and I'm a little confused:
Can you only put one add (or block) on a page?

You can put more than one, but impressions are counted * number of blocks.
So if you have 2 on one page, every time someone goes to that page, it will count as two impressions.

You can put up to 3 ads per page. Although your page impression will triple per every page view. I think they should change it to ad impressions myself. I wouldnt even care about the page impressions unless your really worried that about your CTR. If you run 3 ads per page just divide your page impressions by 3 and divide that by your click to get a really accurate CTR per visitor.

as you add more ads sometimes click rate can go down significantly too though... people click on some if they are well blended or whatever, but sophistocated users may be less likely to click if they think they are entirely ad pages.

I was going to make a post about that but ill address it here. Whats the percent of internet users that you think are even aware of adwords or adsense and are savy enough to not click a ad like you mentioned above. Of course you wouldnt know exactly, but whats your estimate?

I am perhaps far more detached from the "average" person than the average person is the web. I also am rather naive about many social situations... so I can't really accurately answer that question.
they might not notice them, but if they take up too much space they start to look weird or fishy IMHO.
do you make more if a guy clicks an ad today and never visits again, or if he bookmarks your site tomorrow and clicks 1 - 2 ads a month for the next 3 years.

I'd agree with awall19. As frequent surfers get used to seeing Google's ads everywhere, they might be less likely to click, especially if they arrived on the page through a search on Google only to find more links to take them elsewhere.

When I suscribed Google ads sense they told me that just a block per page, and well they give you the options for the style and colors, info, etc,I personally just have 2 at my site,I have known (friends who have them too) that the earnings per click are good but nothing like "great"

for me they have been rare, but I have had some "amazing" clicks. it depends on what the theme of the page and what advertisers are paying.

I agree. One day i could have 12 clicks for 80 cents the next day 6 clicks for 2.50. Just alot of variables.
