Success..... after a long hard struggle...... BUT

Yep, we've made it in Google after what seems like eons. We were ranking very well in most other search engines but just couldnt get anywhere in Google. Today, it all came good, we're coming up on page 1 for all our search terms.

Great.... but I've also discovered that today, while using the link:www.libertynaildesign.com query, it reports back as

Your search - link:www.libertynaildesign.com - did not match any documents.

Is there something going on behind the scenes that I dont know about, new links being counted, etc? Sorry if this is a very basic question, but this is unchartered waters for me. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

A HUGE THANK YOU AS WELL TO THIS FORUM FOR HELPING ME PUT THE SITE INTO THE TOP SEARCH RESULTS!!!! YES.... I AM SHOUTING, I'M HAPPY!!!

Special thanks to John Scott (that nasty lookin' git who's running this joint *LOL*) for his helpful thread http://www.v7n.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7773 It does work!!! It may take time, but it does work.

Google only shows a sample of links by design. Try Yahoo and MSN. I would drop the Webring if I were you, they dont work and make sites look unprofessional IMO.

Thanks for the info on the webring, I will consider it. Regarding the links, the site always showed up as having 9 inbound links in Google up until yesterday and now nothing. Strange?

I wouldn't sweat the back links, or anything else with Google right now ...everyone's having problems and/or experiencing extremes with this search engine's algo.

From this end, I show your site having 82 pages indexed by Google ...the index page being optimized for the term, 'art training nail' ...and as you may or may not know, you're number #1 for that phrase ...albeit a rather uncompetitive term.

Seanny, the golden rule with links out is to link only to sites that would be of use to your site visitors and ensure they are not "bad neigbourhoods", which can get you in hot water with Google. Rarely any need to worry about links to you though. Always put your site visitors first and foremost and you will have nothing to worry about.

You actually have only 13 pages in Google, not 82.

Actually that is very incorrect ...in fact a website can never be indexed by any search engine without a link to it from somewhere. Secondly, one does indeed need to cultivate inbound links from related content sites ...in moderation though.

And third, Seanny does have 82 pages indexed on Google
(from the U.S. @ this moment via the random interface w/ Google's datacenters).

...why am I debating this?

You are reading out of context again. What I said was "Rarely any need to worry about links to you though." Bolding added for the argumentative.

No he doesn't, count them.

I have no idea and I really think you should do your homework before attempting debating.

lazareth, you really have some kind of problem ...what argumentative? I'm merely stating facts ...you on the other hand have joined the V7n forums only to burglarize other people's discussions and cause chaos.

...appears you may have some alternate agenda.

83 pages in Google is fiction, not fact and you know it.

Nope, just pointing out fact from fiction.

I would have respected you at least somewhat if you simply admitted you were wrong.

Was it something I said? };-) Jeez guys, calm down.

I did in fact have 80 something pages indexed by Google until yesterday using site:urlhere However, seeing as how lots of other people seem to be going through similar or worse problems, I think I'll wait until the dust settles to find out what the outcome is.

Dave,

SEO isn't worthy of that degree of passion, IMO. I'm not referring to just this thread.

ahhh, now I see. This lazareth fella (his username yesterday) was really Dave Hawley, someone previously banned ...disgruntled, he apparently created another profile for the specific purpose of harassing members in V7n's forum.

...figures.
