I've just watch about Google, the most successful company around the world, on CNBC, it sounds like Google has all information in hand. And I think in myself, what a wonderful company around the world. They know everything about us, they provide the right information and they collect money. In the meantime, I would say Google is a good and reputable company. Yes Google's not evil today as it's a transparent and legal company . But I'm just waiting to see in the future....

well I won't let them control me. I won't use there OS, always mac or windows, I won't use there browser -- firefox is better, and as for email, simple -- my own email server

ok, got a little carried away there. I do use gmail, but I also use hotmail. Google has a lot of useful features and it requires me to have a gmail; but I use google for web purposes, I am not interested in there phones, browsers, or operating systems. although the google broadband internet looks very interesting.

In my opinion, doing business is not evil. Evil is just imaginary. It will not come to reality unless someone believes it's there. Google is a genius.

I don't think so that Google is like evil or something like that.Neither I am spokesman of Google nor I have attached my loyalty to it for any secret purposes but it is fact that Google world best & largest search engine,who provide you all information what you need.
So we must respect this "World Encyclopaedia"...

It is funny how we can nit pick those who are successful. They aren't allowed to look at their competition. Or makes plans to grow.

If you are scared about Google gathering your information - don't use it. I would be much more concerned with what the Government would do with the data since we have given them right to do as they would like, when we signed the Patriot Act. And you might take a look at the contract you sign when you sign up for Facebook, and take a look at who is running it.

There is no doubt there is more concern with privacy with this new information age. The broader our ability to get into communication brings in broader communication. It is always a good idea to take every precaution you can to protect yourself and that includes what data you are giving Google.

Attorney General Richard Blumenthal announced today that his office will lead a multistate investigation into Google Street View cars’ unauthorized collection of personal data from wireless computer networks and that he is seeking additional information about the practice in Connecticut.

"My office will lead a multistate investigation -- expected to involve a significant number of states -- into Google’s deeply disturbing invasion of personal privacy,” Blumenthal said. “Street View cannot mean Complete View -- invading home and business computer networks and vacuuming up personal information and communications. Consumers have a right and a need to know what personal information -- which could include emails, web browsing and passwords -- Google may have collected, how and why. Google must come clean, explaining how and why it intercepted and saved private information broadcast over personal and business wireless networks."

innovative. And I do not see anything wrong in their
attempts to dominate the the Internet. Who wouldn’t.
Every business outfit wants to get as much chunk of
its market as possible and I would see Google as not
being competitive if it fails to do the same. While the
idea itself is wholesome , the methods used in achieving
it may be condemnable. Other good aspects of Google
are its numerous free services and the income it provides
to 1000s of people worldwide through Adsense.

Any entity which seeks to control the flow of data, so as to have access to personal data that will facilitate the delivery of advertisements, is evil.

As for being innovative, name one thing that Google offers which was first developed by them.
