Auto Link scares me - Google wants to alter every page you look at so that certain words link to content that it thinks you want to see. Seems a bit over the line to me.

it could be - the toolbar states:

"Automatically link street address to maps (and more)"

The "and more" needs some clarification... but on initial investigation, it would appear that you can choose the map engine to use, from Google Maps, to Yahoo! Maps, and MapQuest... now can you honestly say that a toolbar from one of the other two providers would be so generous with the ad revenue it could derive from those click-thrus? I don't think so....


oh... I almost forgot... you can turn the feature off completely... it doesn't appear to work that well anyway....

Are any of you having any issues not seeing pr on some pages (Gray Bar) with the new toolbar? I am.

I just had to re-install version 2.0 and all looks well.

I've heard others mention that they're not seeing PR displayed for a number of sites, or a different PR (usually -1).

yes, PR bar is intermittent - gray is the only error I've noticed, but I didn't install it on a production machine, so I've not been using it extensively...
