Compared to what; and, measured how?
For example, in the US, Yahoo is no. 1 with regards to user satisfaction!

Unfortunately, the unexpected may also be the undesired.

Here is reasons why I do prefer Google than other search engines.
1. Google has a simple and clean search page. Yahoo has a bunch of text and advertising plastered over the page. Bing has a big improvement compared to their old MSN, but still not like Google.
2. Google has a good handling for a specific keyword search, especially non english and local language. Yahoo is still a bug when do search for others language than english while Bing is not much better than Yahoo like I do ever expected.
3. The best of all is - Google is always innovative compare to another companies. Even many of their services are not related to search engine directly, but that made me impressed and prefer their search engine over others. I will list only a few here.
Gmail is the first free email provider that gives 1GB disk storage while Hotmail was only 5 MB and Yahoo was only 10MB
Adwords + Adsense business model was innovate by Google while Yahoo had never through about publisher and MSN was never done anything about it.

Hm-mm.
Yahoo was publishing ads before Google was even a gleam in daddy's eye, using the Overture platform, the grand-daddy of PPC advertising.
Unfortunately, Yahoo bought Overture; and, since it wasn't broken, decided to fix it, thus ruining the premier PPC system, and giving away that market to Google.

Bad food or drink has been known to be the cause of such; ditto for sleep deprivation.

I like google for not only the various tools I can make use of but also the targeted traffic it is bringing to me. About 80% of my traffic is from google.

I like Google because it always has new innovations and great features that every will surely love. I also like it because of the fact that it is the number one SE and you can get a lot of traffic here when you have top the rankings.

Is that the case everywhere in the world ?
Is that the case for all target audiences?

That was just my opinion why I like Google. Maybe each of us has different point of view why they like and dislike Google.

Bear in mind that opinions are worth no more than the facts that support them.
In this case, you made some statements of purported fact in support of your opinion, which is as it should be. In return, I asked that you substantiate such claims; or, at least qualify them. Again, as it should be.
If you are unwilling or unable to do so, then said statements themselves are but unsubstantiated opinions, such that they cannot serve to substantiate your conclusion, in which case your position becomes simply that you like Google, one which does not answer the OP's question.

The depth of thought and analysis that has gone into the replies in this thread are awesomely underwhelming to say the least.
I do not like Google that much. From my perspective it is sort of like rush hour traffic in that it is a royal pain in the backside which must be dealt with.
I find their search results to be old, worn, dull and unchanging. After the first couple pages most results are dead links or unrelated. For obscure terms the results are most often trash.
Gmail has become the center of the spammers universe. On some projects I have filters set to dump all gmail spam.
Adsense is a necessary evil which I am forced to tolerate as they are the only service for the little guy.
Adwords just keeps jacking prices up until it is no longer afordable.
Analytics slows down sites and provides little more than can be found with cPanel awstats.
Their new browser is average at best.
What Google is good at is marketing, making money, forcing developers jump through a bunch of stupid hoops and putting lots of money in so called SEO experts pockets.
I find myself using Bing more and more, especially for new and fresh information because I find their results superior. In fact it is now my first choice with G second.

Very nicely done.
I would note only the following :

There are a few other choices available; but, as I avoid AdSense, I'm unable to say if any of such are worth the effort.

Actually, it is the advertisers who do this.
Far too many of them either fail to regularly monitor their ROIs, or have deep enough pockets that they're happy to over-bid just so they can claim bragging rights, while bludgeoning competitors, with examples being eBay and StubHub (owned by eBay.)
