Google toolbar shows PR 0 for many pages

Sorry for asking what must be a stupid FAQ but:

I know that the PR of many of my pages must be 2/3/4:
1) from their position in search results;
2) because some of those sites with Google PR tools ("how to tell your PR without the Google toolbar") tell me so.

However... for these pages the Google toolbar on both my PCs shows PR 0.

There are some other pages on my site which I know for example are PR 6 and show correcly as PR 6 on the toolbar.

So it's only some pages that behave in this way.

I have tried the toolbar 3 beta: no difference.

Erm, your pages' PR is a small contributing factor to your position in the search results. Look around for certain keywords and I believe you will find some PR0 sites that rank position one on google.

Also the toolbar is always out of date, google always has your current PR value but keep it to themselves until they do a toolbar PR update, which is believed to be imminent btw.

The google toolbar at the moment is probably showing the PR your pages had a few months ago.

People shouldn't worry about PR too much where google is concerned, much better to focus on having a quality site with plenty of links coming in. Of course a high PR would help if you are selling advertising space on your site to people who don't know better or who are just hoping to get some of your PR passed on to their pages.

All fair enough but how is it then that some of the sites with which you can "see you PR without the toolbar" show PR of 3 (which is exactly what I would expect it to be for the pages in question - and definitely not 0) rather than 0?

What data do they have access to that the Google toolbar doesn't?

Why/how this has access to more up-to-date information than the Google toolbar, I don't know.

Yeah mine showing a PR0 (supposed to be a PR3). Makes me wonder whether I'm getting banned or something else is happening..

Each page has a different PR. SERP is different than PR

Trying to have PR for the internal pages of websites can sometimes be complex because unless you have a proper way of interlinking your pages with each other and also have a good fixed and stable sitemap, the chances of your inner pages having PR might be weak, even if your homepage is doing just great.

Try to use Searchstatus. it's more accurate than google pr toolbar.

PR is not a guarantee of high ranking in SERP, it only has a small effect. You can rank on top with PR 0 if you have quality back links pointing to your site from relevant content with proper keyword as anchor text.

Honestly speaking, I don't really use the Google PR toolbar. I suggest you install search status on your Firefox.

Placement of web pages at google SERP-s and PR is not directly correlated. Ranking placements of web pages fluctuate much faster then PR.

One of factors determining value of PR is ratio between outbound and inbound links. Another factor is outbound links, where are they point, to which web sites, of which quality.

Besides all, main factor for improving PR value for every inner page is quality and quantity of inbound links.

Search Engines Rankings are not based on Page Rank.
So better concentrate on SERPS rather than PR.

ya sometime its happend in searching PR...they shows wrong PR....for this try to check on directorycritic.com...on this you can check your website PR...and it also help to check multiple websites' PR at a time..
