For those of you from the UK - it looks like Google have finally got the UK versions of their maps & local searching stuff ready...

How much does the SMS service cost? I can't find a cost listed anywhere - if it's free I could be a big fan...

Apparently it is free (at least for now) You just have to pay your Standard Network charge.
