By taking the emphasis off a perfect match, Google has been destroying relevancy. Here's one SERP which was brought to my attention by a QWH client who was looking for the support forum:
http://www.google.com/search?q=quali...+hosting+forum
1. No forum
2. No forum
3. No forum (Page doesn't even include the words "quality" or "forum".)
4. No forum. (Doesn't even contain the word "quality" in page copy.)
5. No forum. (Doesn't even contain the word "forum")
6. No forum. (Doesn't even contain the word "forum")
7. GeekVillage SpamClub (No meaningful match)
8. GeekVillage SpamClub (No meaningful match)
9. No forum (and none of the search terms)
10. No forum
Needless to say, the user did not find what they were looking for, and had to call me to ask the URL.
I just told them that Brin had had too much coke, and they needed to minus out two jibberish words:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...poplop+-polhhu
Ahh, relevancy.
