Does my site have a chance?

I am working on a site and I would like to know if it has a chance of ever getting a decent amount of search engine traffic before I spend the time and money. It is a gambling site that promotes a chosen few online poker rooms. It features a poker tutorial, poker articles, brief reviews, and poker links. Any helpfull info on this subject or info on what to do to get some decent traffic would be appreciated. Thanks. Here is the site: Top5cardrooms . com

If it has a good business model going in there's a good chance you'll be able to make it successful. You could always use PPC advertising to drive traffic, and if it converts well you can achieve some success. As for organic traffic, it all depends on how well you do SEO, no one can predict that in advance. Try using Overture's search popularity tool (free) to get an idea of how many searches are done on particular keywords, and then you can get an idea of whether the amount of potential traffic out there is worth your effort.

Google Suggest only shows the number of results, it doesn't give an estimate of the number of searches done on the term. It's definitely useful, but if you use a tool like Wordtracker (or have the patience to use Overture's tool in combination with Google Suggest) you can try to find the "sweet spot" of keywords that get searched a lot without having a lot of competition. In my opinion that's the best way to get started.

There is a tool here that combines Wordtracker & Overture, pretty helpful IMHO.

Hello, I think for any site to have a chance, content is key. That, along with site presentation are the two main factors as to whether your site succeeds or not.

The gambling market is HUGE. If you are going to succeed i'd imagine you are most deffinately going to have to spend.
