Boy did google get my sites wrong.

I have two web sites.
advanced-webhosting.com
and
whalesale.com

Here's what happened.
My log in page at a-w got a pr 5 (rest of site is pr 3) and the site I was trying to promote (whalesale) got dropped to pr 3.
It seems that the whalesale site is slipping in pr as this log in page is getting higher.

I am using the a-w site mostly for ssl.
I do not link to the sign in page. or any other page that is http on a-w from whalesale.

How can I transfer this pr to my whalesale site?
Or are there other ways I can take advantage of this situation benefiting the whalesale site?

I did a little trick... in .htaccess file...

Before launching a new site, I did a redirect to an existing site with pr5 (similar in topic) so that any requests to the new domain would see the pr5 site.

After I completed development of the site, I removed the redirect. The new site now has pr5 (took a couple of weeks for Google to synchronize all its servers to the new site...).

Make sure you redirect to a site you own, otherwise this could be considered hijacking if you're using another company's site...

Would this be workable in my case?

For example if I moved the a-w log in page to another subdir of a-w and put a permanent redirect on the a-w sites log in page (pr 5 page) to the whalesale home page?

I could even remove all content from the a-w site if that would work better as I said I mainly use the a-w site for ssl purposes.

I do own both sites and mainly use a-w site for ssl purposes. I may
btw: I have no idea why that one page is pr5.

If you own both sites, I'm pretty sure it'll work...
(BTW: it'll work even if you don't own the second site)
