hi, here I'm again;

2 sites changed their PR again just a few days ago; one that went from PR2 to PR4 last month is now back to PR4, another one went from n/a last month to a PR4 and is now PR3

all logic is lost here

anybody else noticing these irregular updates?

I've noticed a few minor changes here and there. I still think we're a few weeks away from a toolbar export though.

google updates is here once again. PR updates too.
some changes has been seen on common keywords that i google.

last month updates is terrible experience, seen quit some broken sites get ranked on first page. just hope this month gets better.

I don't believe there's been a pagerank update, visibly, in some time. everything in my niche and from where i sit and look at things is basically the same for months and months. I will say that in checking my backlinks and the dates they have been cached, i've noticed quite a bit of activity in November, lots of those pages where i have links were indexed and cached last month more so than when i've checked previously. and from reading around it seems that google has settled some issues with caffeine etc and so has freed up some resources so is/has been catching up on a lot of other issues - one of which i assume is indexing the web....also since some of my pages have moved up in the serps then google has noticed and folded those newer backlinks too into the results, recently. I am also assuming that links age and give a bit of a boost after several months etc, and so that would make since with getting better positions in the serps...
gosh, there's so many factors in the algo, what did i read recently that google takes some 200 factors into consideration but even within just one of those factors there are sometimes up to 40-50 different signals that go into the mix....

I have noticed for a website for PR chance but neither get any notification or discussion about PR updated from Google or any other SEO expert person

Anybody knows when google update its pagerank? from since last many times there is no update?

I have two 2 months sites, they have now changed to pagerank 1. However, my old sites have not changed. It looks like google is updating new sites

Google confuses me. But yes, to me it seems new pages and backlinks show up quickly but my old sites that I've had online for years show no difference.

I noticed PR update on one of my sites on only one page from N/A to PR 3. On other site only one page went from N/A to PR 0. Something is changing, that is for sure.

I noticed a spike in Google caching activity around the middle of November too, but haven't noticed any PR changes yet. Though about that same time, it seemed like I moved up in the SERPs because my traffic from Google searches increased.

What I have observed over the past few months is that Google is making small updates frequently rather than a quarterly push when large numbers of sites are updated.

Yes Jhon123, I noticed tremendous change in SERP's and keyword appearance/disappearance. I feel there is certainly something going on since it has not been like this with my sites as I am not doing any activity apart from routine job.

What is in your observations?

yes there is a google ranking fluctuations and my ranking went down to the last page strange.

since April I din't feel any changes in home pr however i saw some internal pages updates on a travel site

Google recently updated their directory with a dump from dmoz (dated prior to Nov. 15th) and it's generally a precursor to a toolbar export. Wonder if we'll see one before the end of the year?

Also interesting is that the directory search box no longer searches the directory database as it did in the past; it now returns web results.

my site didn't have any page rank. but last month it got PR3. and now it is again PR 0. my site is a bit seasonal. i thought it was due to that. but after reading your post i am thinking that its not a sudden thing. some thing must have changed. can you describe the matter in detail?
