Need some help with PageRank - Page 2

If you are on the first pages of the search engines, isn't that the most important thing? I'm new to all of this, but that's my 2 cents.

I have a few sites that I have been able to get onto the first page of the search engines for my chosen terms, and that's all I care about...

But that's just me.

Maybe I'm overlooking something?

If you're ranking well with new sites for your chosen keyword phrases, PR will not make much of a difference (except to other webmasters). The average surfer could probably care less about PageRank.

If you have other pages linking to your sites, they should show a bit of the green during the next toolbar PageRank update (probably mid January).

If you're just looking to increase your PageRank then all you really need is links, links and more links. The higher the PageRank of the linking page the better.

Remember that your search engine rankings depend on a bit more than just PageRank and the quantity of inbound links.
