Hello,
I was checking some linking on my fitness site today and did the google link: command. When I did it for my site it seemed to work properly, it displayed sites that linked to mine but there weren't very many pages. Then when I tried for some other sites, it would show tons of links but many would be from pages on the exact site.

Any idea what is up with this and why my site is not doing it properly?

bodybuilding.com has a PR6 and has lots more pages than your site also.

As a guide, compare both sites here: http://www.freewebsubmission.com/link-popularity.html. The answer will become apparent when you do this.

Basically, just keep growing your site and gaining links.

Easier said than done but hey, who ever said this game was easy

I would use the others as a guide where to get listed if you can. Also do a search in google for some of your keywords and the variations on "add url" - these will be some places that you want to target to get a better ranking in google.

If you use firefox, you might want to get the search status extension. It is very cool.

Also, if you compare your results in google to other search engines, you will see more in the others. Google does not show all your backlinks.

Nice site. Would like the header to look more like a gym. Have a weight bench a stairmaster, a treadmill, and such along and make the backgrond behind that more interesting.
