Does PR go down as well as up?
Does PR go down as well as up? - i am not talking about when google de-grades all the sites.

Yes it does. I just took over a site, they did have a few links to them. And a PR of 2. I watched it go down to 1 after I just put a link to one site from another of theirs.

I pinged the domains and seen they had the same IP. Told them to put them on different IP's and a week later it went back up.

PR certainly can go down - my chronicles-network went down from a steady and rising 6 to a paltry 5 after forum pages and links were devalued. Florida killed the keyword phrasing in the anchor text as well.

Ironically, my traffic is up about 30%.

I do not personally believe that PR is the grail it used to be. Still important, yes, but less so, as other factors have become highly significant.
