Opera chooses Google

A few days ago, Opera was at the center of rumors, in which it was speculated that the company could be swallowed by Microsoft. Such a move appears to be less likely now, as the company announced that it will use Google as default search engine for its mobile Internet browsers "Mini" and "Mobile." As part of the 12-month agreement, Google will be the default start page of Opera's software.
Opera, which appears to be especially successful in the mobile browser space, said that its cellphone and PDA web browsers are currently installed on about 11 million devices worldwide.
