Google Spam Reporting

Has anyone noticed any changes in SERPS after reporting SPAM sites to Google?

You won't see any changes if you reported sites. It takes time for google to investigate the sites that have been reported. Don't worry about the reported sites and focus on your own.

Only the good sites will in the end rank high with a lot of hard work put into marketing them.

that's right. but you can regularly check it just to make sure... and it still up to google if they are going to penalize it..

Thanks for the replies guys.

Here is the situation. It may or may not be related to the reporting but my website has reached no.1 position on Google about 5 days after reporting a competitors site for spam. He has a full flash website with a lot of hidden text and he was enjoying benefits of first position in Google for a good key phrase.
