How much traffic did you expect? If your keywords are on the first page and the search count is "good" for those then the traffic should be good as well. Perhaps the keywords aren't as popular as you think. Or perhaps people just decide to skip your site. Many things could be going on here.

This is a situation usually happening when webmasters do not thoroughly examine the popularity of keywords before setting up websites. Please note that even if a certain site reached the first position on Google for the main word and yet no one uses that as a daily web surfing trend, no big traffic gains might be expected. Use the keyword suggestion tools and if your targeted words are not very popular, you may think of targeting more primary words, the ones searched for by many people everyday.

Keywords play a very important role on how search engine rank your website. Place valuable keywords in the first line of your page and continue to use then through out the page.

Not knowing your site or any other information, but I would say you're using low search volume keywords, another option is your website tittle and description is not interesting so people are not clicking on your website.

Check your keywords, tittle, description and see if anything changes.

I think your keywords may have low number of searches on google. If so, then you can take help of social media for traffic. Like facebook, twitter, forums, blogs, classifieds etc.
You can post some articles on popular sites like article base and ezine articles. Social bookmarking also very good technique to get traffic like digg and delicious sites are very good source of traffic as well as backlinks.

What do you consider good in regards to the search counts? Did you do use broad, exact, or phrase when deciding on keywords?

These things can make a huge difference in attracting the right kind of traffic.

I wonder there may be any technical issue popping out with visitors trying to load your website. If you have hosted your website in any cheap service provider then there is chance of losing traffic due to server being down. Also test your website loading in all geographical regions. .

Maybe the reason why you're ranking on the 1st page is because the keywords that you're targeting has low competition, hence you're getting low amounts of traffic.

Do a little research and find what keywords receives the most traffic from searchers and do your on-page optimization work for search engines, for your website.

Good luck.

Maybe you're using long-tailed keywords that's why you're topping the SE's? Didn't you try to use those competitive ones?

Possible reason is you are targeting wrong keywords for your site. Try to target some other keywords that is low in competitors but have high searches.
