What is google looking for these days?

Well I buy links from top level sites and I dont do any link exchanges..

Used to do link vault and stuff but took links down cause I think this was a problem.

there is so many liniks you can get and if you look at some of the top sites they have not got links in ages and still stay atop

The number one site has a forum (think making a forum would help rankings)

I am still up in the air about that

THing is how to go about getting links that is "legit" abd that does not raise "red flags"

I know it's near impossible in the market you're in, but that's what I would do.

It IS impossible without exchanging....SO any other thoughts

How would you market this "useful site" so these people would be aware and know to link to you... I actually did a websearch and sent content to the ralated sites and they sure enough linked to me (2 of the 4 sites) on their news pages. I did not even ask for a link !

Look at how v7n gets its traffic. We've not spent a whole lot of time with link exchanges.

well my site went up to 103 and 57 for 2 major keywords...

I tweaked on page stuff and maybe the articles and rss is working

Sometimes it helps to get pissed off and just make up your mind that you're going to rank well no matter what, and Google can go f*** itself. Try it. It's great motivation.

I dont have a free traffic for now, so there are no keywords that I can find my website with(unless some word that are only on my website), that is for google only, yaho, msn I am able to find it.

Keyword is 'thebestadsonline' one word. google does not display site description, yahoo does...

lol i believe that google will fall back to some old ranking systems and juggle them abit till they figure out who what where and why all these seo ranking contest are being held... I believe they know the why... I like google and I believe them to be the farest out of all the search engines as do most people...
