Quick question :)

I have a website, and I heard that it is good to have it link exchanged with other site , so I signed up win linkmarket and here is my question:
Is it true that it is not good for your page rank if you have more than 50 links per page ?

When I aplied for a link exchange with http://http://properplace.org ,
the link market said: please devide your links into pages, because your page rank will go down if you have more than 50 links ?!? I was curios and checked that site - and they seem to have more than 50 links!

place advice if this is just a some kind of error or ....

any help will be appreciated.

You shouldn't care so much about the number of links, so much as you care about who you link to and what you're doing to your site with those links. Are you linking to websites just because they link to you?

I think JohnScott is hinting that Google doesn't like it when sites link to random stuff. In other words, if your site is about cars, but you link to sites about dolls, board games, t-shirts, checkbook balancing, and so on, Google starts to devalue the links. It thinks, "they're not on-target, they're not worthwhile."

So, don't link to random sites that offer to link swap. Link to sites that are complementary to your site.
