Still dont get it

I understand google looks at links and other factors for rankings
but this page www dmcccorp org is on the second page and I cant figure out why. PR is only 4 (proves PR is worthless) and links are only 41 backlinks.

and now the two sites that everyone said to report to google which I do are now up to 2 and 3 I see reporting spam works well

Both those sites are PR 0 and backlinks are on a network of sites that this advertising company uses to sell links

It used to be the number of links that counted - but Google has been shifting its weight behind quality.

If you have two sites, one with 1000 links from low PR autogenerated spam, and another with a couple of low PR links from places such as SEW and theregister, odds are the second will fare better in Google.

I got to disagree with you....look at results for debt consolidation most of the sites have no PR and spam links

And you talking about debt sites with high quality links being beaten by spammy links? Or simply spammy links beating one another?

I have heard that google gives more weight to links depending on where they come from. Like a link from a .edu or .gov is going to be better that a .biz or .info. I think it is that Google sees the .gov and .edu sites as more reputable.
