What I really want to know is how to outrank all the junk and unrelated results (duplicate websites/blogs) from SERPs, because there were times when I was looking for a search term and I couldn't find a reliable source until page 3. the first 2 pages were filled with junk (you know, those websites/blogs highly optimized for google that outrank valid and good resources).

Another thing I'd like to know is what counts most: the content or the backlinks?

thank you!

I'd like SEO tips on geolocated businesses, using things like placemark.kml, microdata, rich snippet etc...If Matt had a local business, how would he go at optimizing it using these "tricks" and tools.

Hi, I almost agree with JulienSimon. Local businesses and their optimization on local google results is what I had in mind.

Well Matt Cutts, I just want to know where would you pay more attention if you had to optimize a local business? Imagine these business have a foreign language website.

I'd like to know if there is a recommended strategy to focus on when creating a new site with a newly and non-established domain name?

What would also be terrific is an Order of Importance Strategy when it comes to site optimization for competitive keywords and keyword phrases?

Actually, if I stop and think of it there's a lot I need to know. Hey Matt, can I have your phone # please?

I'd like to see a present list of the things that will DEFINITELY get us bounced or penalized within the SERPS. Yes, there's allot of it going around out there, but I don't see anything really recent from the man himself, and although the google guidelines exist, I wonder when it was last updated, and a bullet point list without having to "interpret" would be good. That way, at least people can follow that, NOT do that stuff, and then not have to worry.

Don't give me broad "focus on content creation for humans", don't give reasons why and stuff like that. Just tell me straight out, in bullet point format, so there's a RECENT answer that people can follow, directly from the "horses mouth". It could go a long way towards eliminating some of the stupidity on the internet.

I agree with you on this one. But I think one of the reasons they leave it a little broad is to be able to choose if they want to penalize someone or not. I agree that this is not the best way to do it since you are leaving things open for debate when you penalize on company and not another, but at the same time I think it may save some small businesses that make a mistake, a true mistake and not someone that is trying to game the system.

I really like this idea. Let's try and come up with a specific question about Google Maps/Places/Local.

Something like:

Does Google use Reviews from Places in ranking regular SERPs?

Will you work for me.

The ques is plz show only that search results in the SERP who have useful and trusted customer reviews for their product and services. Most of spammy sites is also on the top of SERP with the help of content and link juice.

So you are suggesting Google makes customer reviews a more heavily weighted ranking factor than links and content?

Do you think customer reviews are less vulnerable to manipulation?
