Google Cache???

I've been monitoring Google over the past few days and the cache has been turned off. It seems that the cache lookup feature was turned off right about last Thursday when Federal Prosecutors requested a random sampling of a million search records from Google.

Anyone else heard anything about this?

It's been working just fine for me. I can still access caches, and it hasn't gone out.

Stop being paranoid. Geez.

I am seeing several sites this morning that show up for recent content, but looking at the cache shows older content. Just a snafu thingie, nothing big, IMO.

Google's cache has been having "issues" for a few months now. No idea why, but it's not unusual to see pages that are month's old in the cache recently.

I was reading webmasterworld.com's forums. The Google News section has a huge thread about these sorts of things. Apparently they are either rolling out BD across the various datacenters (or are testing it)...... no one knows for sure, but they are seeing stuff going on....

I tested the ips that they said have BD, and they do have remarkably different results than what my default datacenter is showing, at least for what I searched for... but thankfully I"m still #1!
