Arrow Contest Disproves Google Sandbox Theory

Hi

I am one who does not believe there is a 'Google Sandbox' and always looking for ways to prove that the Sandbox is just an Adwords tool.

The definition of the 'Google Sandbox' appears to be that all new sites are held back from ranking for popular keyword terms for what is said to be six months or so, for those who subscribe to such theory.

I have always found sending traffic to new sites, removes this barrier to ranking in a short amount of time. This has held true back to when the sandbox conspiracy was circulated about all sites built in late 2003 early 2004 were held back by Google.

If there were a Google lag or 'sandbox' which prevents newly registered websites from ranking on the front pages of organic results, then all of the websites listed below would not appear in the top 10 organic listings on the Google engine for the search query '7ndotcom elursrebmem'

Looking at the list below, only those domains which were sub-domains, or had URLs which did not contain the term v7ndotcomelursrebmem would appear, during the search query for '7ndotcom elursrebmem'

www.v7ndotcomelursrebmem.co.uk

www.v7ndotcomelursrebmem.org

toms.taggle.us

www.jimwestergren.com/v7ndotcom-elursrebmem

www.watching-paint-dry.com/v7ndotcom-elursrebmem

www.v7ndotcomelursrebmem.net

www.the-elursrebmem.com

www.elursrebmem-v7ndotcom.be

blog.outer-court.com/archive/2006-01-15-n84.html

v7ndotcom-elursrebmem.webguerrilla.com/

Further it would appear that links are not the ultimate answer to Google front page rankings, or positioning on the front page itself, as a search of the top 10 websites listed on a query for 'v7ndotcom elursrebmem' shows that none of the websites listed in positions 1 to 10 had any links recognized and counted by Google.

To be fair I added http://www to URLs where it was not included in the results.

I know you will run to show me Yahoo Msn and other links to argue that the sites have backlinks to them. I am acutely aware the sites have links to them, however I stated that Google does not recognize them, and as such they do not appear to have a determination in where pages rank in the Google front page results, or that the pages are listed at all for that matter.

My feelings are that it is indeed a popularity party, along with the other known recognized seo needs, and other than trying to use Alexa, which I doubt would be a proper measure at this point, I do not have a way to measure the raw traffic going to these sites to prove my thoughts.

If anyone has a Hitwise account pehaps they could shed some light from the ISP side.

What would a lso be interesting to see would be the stats from each website above posted online somewhere....

Anyway just my thoughts....

Waiting to see others.

Peace
