No Love from Google, Why?

My site has been around for almost 8 months now, gets a ton of traffic from MSN and some traffic recently from Yahoo.

I have never seen one visitor from Google, why?

#1 MSN for Pet Med :
http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=pet+med&FORM=QBRE

#4 in Yahoo for Pet Med:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=pet...&cop=&ei=UTF-8

Not even close to being on the first 20 pages of Google.

Other than that common keyword, I probably rank in the top 10 for 30 others in MSN and a bunch for Yahoo.

Any ideas what the problem is?

could be due to lack of unique content and the way your linking out to your affiliate. =]
why would Google want to rank your website when they can/or will simply rank the merchants/authority website medi-vet?
i would say you need to offer a bit more unique content to get those pages ranking with your affiliate link attatched on em. :-)

I do, go to the sitemap, that is all unique content (I just changed those links on the main page to see if it drives more sales)

alot of it it's also not very unique eg;

http://www.google.com.au/search?q=%2...iated%22&hl=en
http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...+Dogs%22&meta=

Google will only list a few sites, not all affilate sites any more if they all have the same content.
as you would be able to see via the links posted above, Google will send most affiliate sites that aren't seen as the original source to the supplemental index.

a site like www.1800petmeds.com Google seems to be ranking, that site has alot of the exact same content as your pages.. so Google has probably given that site a tick as being a possible original source of the content and anything that tries to duplicate that authority website has no chance, unless copywriting is done.

just my opinion of course.

Is there any truth to this? I have a site that is ranked #1 for MSN. Still waiting on Yahoo and Goo though (although it's been weeks, not months). I did have 3 or 4 links on the page going out to my other site. I've removed them as a test.

yes, I don't even bother submitting to the SE's though. If you just get a link up to your site from another well established site you'll get spidered quick enough.

I've been told putting up links rather than submitting is quicker. I have no evidence of that.

I have gone 2 weeks or more waiting on Y! and Goo.
