Not at all, I'm just not naive anymore at my age, and I have too much prove of the US government and the CIA/NSA being the scum of the earth.
If you knew me, you would know I'm not a conspiracy theorist at all, remember that Nixon got busted for a conspiracy and that "conspiracies" are only theories untill they are proven. There is loads of prove out there Julie, for those who are not too lazy to find out, but most people just live in denial and "don't want to know" because the truth is too disturbing for them.
This is the last I say about it btw. If you like living in a pink dream, go ahead but don't expect others to do the same, and don't say that things are "theories" when you obviously know nothing about the facts.

I wasn't going to spoonfeed you, but...
Do some research yourself, I'll help you. Start here:

(9) In any case, US crypto policy is now the result of several years
of politicking between the NSA and the US IT industry, so is getting
optimised to serve US commercial as well as defence interests. For
example, the export controls on CAPI prevent European software houses
from competing with US ones. Crypto export controls also mean that it
makes more sense for NEC to have its non-Japanese research lab at
Princeton, NJ, rather than Cambridge, England.

As I said, it's a start. Go from there.
fact is that the NSA is very much into getting information via the internet, another fact is that from all the people in this world who have the same, or even better qualities to perform Matt Cutts job, the chanse that "by coincidence" this job is given to an "ex" NSA man, would have been NIL if there wasn't some "interests" in having an NSA man on that position.
C'mon, don't be so naive. Once you start digging, mud comes up.
Do you really think that the NSA/CIA is so naive NOT to have a man in there?

If the government wanted google's search info, why would they have to even ask for it then? Or is that just a ploy to get us to think "yay Google, thanks for backing us up" and trust them? Apparently they can hack in any computer at any time they want, and track anyone they want. Supposedly they can control anyone or anything. Umm...if that's the case, then why haven't they gotten Osama yet?
This thread probably attracted NSA's attention already...better watch out. Heck, maybe even JS is a NSA guy too. And maybe I don't even need to be typing this because they could read my thoughts...or maybe, they are sending signals to my brain forcing me to type this!
Now seriously.....
Even if they did have a guy in google, big deal. I'm sure they could find out anything they wanted to without needing to have an inside guy.

..an inside guy, at the position that Matt Cutts has, can steer google into developing "services" that are more useful for "intelligence gathering", ever thought about that?
Again, with the budget and goals of the CIA/NSA, they would be naive not to do that.
I ask you again Julie; Do you think the NSA/CIA is naive? <-- I answered your questions, now please answer this one

But according those websites, they could already do anything they wanted. They could send signals to Larry Page and Sergey Brin telling them what to do. They wouldn't need Cutts to do that.

Keep laughing about it Julie, keep making jokes about it, but it doesn't change the facts now does it? And I gave you those links as a start, you might not have noticed, but the facts on these sites are backed up with official sources. They are NOT Theories. It's a start for your research if you want to know the truth, not by all means everything there is to find out if you want.
Ask your uncle if the NSA would be so naive not to have a man at Matt Cutts position.

I agree with you, Ferre. It is not a matter of if, but when.
The pure of heart must be saavy and strong, our biggest enemy complacency.
I did not download the Google Desktop, but I am a sucker by nature and must be very vigilant.
There will be no G-Drive on my PC.
I am thankful for your vigilance, Ferre. I know that you are not always correct, but I believe that you are often right.
It is wrong that the power of information be seized by the powers of darkness, that's right.
