Google will turn into government spy with Gdrive
Read this article:
http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/uk.cfm?id=349352006
The question is not "will Google spy for the government", That you can be 100% sure of. The question is "when will they start doing it".

Just because Microsoft gave the NSA a back door doesn't mean Google will do the same. The US government is Microsoft's biggest customer. It's not google's.
Let's wait for some evidence of wrongdoing before jumping all over them.

I already read a similar article somewhere else. Although no official announcement is made, I doubt they'll stand up to the government!

Matt Cutts is not in the NSA. Even if he was employed by them in the past, it doesn't mean he is today.

OH YEA!! I remember on WebmasterRadio (I listen to it to learn more on SEO!) Greg Boser said a friend typed in Google "How to Kill the President" or something and the FBI arrived at his house and made a check!!
I'll see if I can find the show which mentioned it today (It was SEO Rockstars)..Doesn't that mean that Google is already sharing information then?? WHO SHOULD I BELIEVE?? My head is confused so bad

I guess if they can podcast, then they must know something. LOL
I've listened to a few podcasts and never learned anything - just like an obnoxious chat session.

That's a load of crap. You might be restricted in what you can talk about, but once you're with them you're not with them for life.

So long as they don't mess with my bandwidth, they can snoop all they want. If they pilfer some sweet marketing info, I'd hope it's public domain. If they bust all the stalkers and kidnappers I'm all for it.

Julie, Matt Cutts is a "government man" and you may not want to believe that, but it doesn't change the facts.
I respect the dude..like I respect rattlesnakes.
